The blank pages of a bullet journal are perfect for creatively planning your Christmas. The dotted spreads allow straight lines for lists or tables, but can also be drawn over for colourful illustrations.
Kiana Ting of A Bullet Journal A Day Instagram account has created some festive seasonal planning spreads for everything from gift tracking to gratitude journaling.
Bullet journaling a winter bucket list
I love to make a bucket list at the start of every new season and winter is probably my favourite. It’s nice to have a list of activities you can go to if you’re bored or looking for something fun to do with friends. For this bucket list, I chose to doodle all of my activities, but you could write them out in a list. You can also add as many or as few things as you like and choose them based on your interests. Overall, this winter bucket list spread is a great way to get into the holiday spirit!
Gift tracker
Keeping track of holiday shopping and budgeting can be so overwhelming. This gift tracker helps keep all that information in one place so you can easily see what you have left to do. Under each column, you just write down the name of the person, what you are planning on getting them, and how much it costs. Then, you check off the box once you bought and wrapped the present. This spread is definitely going to be essential for keeping my holiday gifts organised.
Christmas playlist to journal to
Playlist spreads are common in the bullet journal community so people can share music that they’re listening to. It’s also cool to have a snapshot of your favourite songs at any point in time. I decided to put a holiday twist on this idea and put together this list of Christmas classics; after all, it’s not winter until you start playing holiday music! These songs are perfect to put on during a snowy car ride, or any of the activities from the previous bucket list spread.
December gratitude
I believe showing gratitude is so important – especially during the holiday season. I drew out a line for each day in December and at the end of the day, I’ll write in one thing that I’m feeling grateful for. You could write down anything, big or small; it might even be a specific person. Though it’s a small task, showing gratitude can change your outlook, and leave you feeling happier and more thankful for all the good things in your life.
