When we’re feeling a little low on energy or cheer, we find putting our thoughts on paper is quite the tonic for mind and soul. Slowing down to self-reflect will help you truly connect with your thoughts and feelings, and identify any areas you could turn your focus to.
With a new year upon us, we’ve penned some journaling prompts specifically to help you access your well–being and approach 2022 with a fresh start. So find a blank page, grab your good pen and learn something from just letting those feelings flow.
Describe your mood today in one word.
Take a deep breath in, let it out slowly, then fill one page of your journal with whatever you fancy. Let your mind rest and allow your pen to do the talking.
What have you done recently that’s just for you?
Describe a memory from the last year that you’re grateful for.
Who or what brings you peace?
Describe a place, time or environment where you feel relaxed and safe.
One self-care habit I’d like to make part of my routine is…
Write down one way you’ll bring more relaxation to today.
On a scale of one to ten, how much time do you dedicate to your wellbeing? What’s one thing you could do for yourself today?
Write down two or three things that help you find focus.
(Then try to incorporate these into your working week.)
Write down three of your favourite things to do on your own.
Take your notebook with you on your next walk. Look around and note down three feelings you experience whilst in nature.
You can find more feel-good prompts and encouraging activities for mind, body and soul in our wellness journals. If you prefer starting with a blank page, pick your own notebook instead. Whichever way you choose to write, putting pen to paper can clear your mind and soothe your spirit.
